We have signed a delivery contract for a complete biogas plant with Gården Olof Lars AB.

We have made a historic delivery contract with Gården Olof Lars AB for the supply of a complete biogas plant to Sweden. We will deliver the plant on a turnkey basis, but the farm staff will be responsible for earthworks, construction of slurry storage tanks, and equipment space. This plant is Demeca’s first scaled biogas plant to be delivered to Sweden in partnership with our partner Gårdsystem. Previously, we have delivered one CHP plant in farm scale to northern Sweden.

This is a historic moment as we get to deliver medium-sized plant complexes to Sweden as well. The contract is also historic for Olof Lars’ estate, as it takes a big step towards energy self-sufficiency, gains significant fertilizer benefits from the biogas process, and reduces methane emissions from agriculture thanks to the biogas process. Gården Olof Lars AB is a continuously developing and growing 800-cow dairy farm on the west coast, south of Gothenburg.

Demeca will deliver a 7 GWh biogas plant to the farm, which produces electricity and heat for the farm’s needs. The delivery includes two gReactor 2800 m3 biogas reactors, feeding systems for biomass and cattle slurry, and two 250 kWe CHP units. The project has started, planning is progressing, and the topsoil of the plant area has already been removed. In the picture, Mattias, Michael, and Lars are at the plant site, where the topsoil has been stripped and where the biogas plant complex will be built.

”We are very pleased to be able to deliver a complete biogas plant to Gården Olof Lars AB. Good cooperation with Gårdsystem has been key in the creation of this agreement. We want to thank all the people at Gårdsystem. With the signing of the contract, there is of course reason to celebrate, but we are also confident in moving this project forward towards the construction phase,” says Demeca’s Export Manager Michael Laho.

”Demeca was chosen as the biogas plant supplier based on the following factors: Demeca’s personal approach and reliability, containerized CHP-unit, good connection with the owners, well-insulated plant structure, and understanding the customer’s problems to find solutions. Initially, the main reason for visiting Finland was Renki, but after seeing the quality of Demeca’s biogas plant, team, and approach, we became particularly interested in Demeca’s biogas plant. The project was implemented thanks to partial funding from Klimatklivetsays Mattias Lindeberg.

We thank Olof Lars AB for their trust! Together we will build a great biogas plant. This is also a good starting point to continue cooperation with the efficient Gårdsystem team towards new projects. There is demand for Demeca’s biogas solutions in Sweden, as our biogas plant is, among other things, energy-efficient, modular in structure, and developed for Nordic conditions.
