New gFeed unit has a bigger capacity

Bigger reactors needs a bigger dry feed units. Juho-Jaakko tells that a biogas plant reactors has growned last years and that means that we had to develop our gFeed dry feed unit.
” New gFeed dry feed unit can use about 6 m3/h dry manures and old gFeed capacity was about 15 m3 per day. So capacity has growned multiple. Dry feed capacity is theoretical because it depense what kind of dry feeds are used. The filling volume of the dry feed unit was increased to 19 cubic meters and several features were improved. In the older dry feed unit two screws split the dry substances for homogenization and the new larger gFeed has a three screws. Improvements have also been made in the material choices of the dry feed unit. Special wear-resistant steel and coatings have been used in screws and wear plates to extend their lifetime. We wanted to invest in the initial investment and reduce the customer’s costs from expensive example maintenance costs” Juho-Jaakko tells.
Feeding screw mixed up and removes the dry feed and feeds into homogenization wanted volume the dry feed. ” Still dry feed happens easily from the outside of the unit with tractors bucket and units cover opens with remote pushing the button but a new structure is developed that it is possible to feed both sides from the unit” Juho-Jaakko refines.
”Serial production is the way to increase efficiency and the gFeed units finish efficiently. This week we sent the fifth bigger gFeed unit into the customers farm. We install the gFeed dry feed unit example outside insulators, roof sheet metals, construction hydraulics, do some electric work and final assembly, finish the dry feed unit and install the Premix in Demecas factory” Juho-Jaakko tells.
More exact reduce and homogenization happens in the dry feeders inside installed Premix unit whic is convertible different kind of feeds. Premix mixes dry feed and wet feed, reduce the mass and separate rocks. At the end Premix pumps the homogenizated feed in to biogas reactor. Gfeed units has a cover which is good because of the weather circumstances and improves safety. We also wanted to improve the new gFeed dry feed units features example maintenance, usability and manufacture perspective. In the new bigger gFeed dry feed unit has removable end wall which gives the opportunity to maintenance check out the screws and can be removable out from the gFeed unit.
